California attorney Jeffrey Saxon is a seasoned civil litigator and partner at MDF Law, with extensive experience representing clients in complex financial, investment, and cryptocurrency-related disputes in state and federal courts nationwide. Licensed to practice law in New York and California, Jeffrey focuses his practice on high-stakes matters involving investment fraud, Ponzi schemes, securities misconduct, and cryptocurrency losses, including claims brought before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA).
Jeffrey has developed substantial experience handling cryptocurrency cases, particularly disputes involving exchange failures, account takeovers, unauthorized transactions, and institutional misconduct by digital asset platforms. These matters are frequently resolved through AAA arbitration, where Jeffrey regularly represents victims of crypto-related fraud and security failures across the country.
Before joining MDF Law, Jeffrey spent the majority of his career defending complex civil litigation—experience that now provides him with a strategic advantage in plaintiff-side advocacy. Immediately prior to joining MDF Law, Jeffrey served as Assistant General Counsel for the New York City Department of Correction, where he supervised a diverse and demanding docket of claims filed against the City of New York in both state and federal courts. His responsibilities ranged from negligence matters to high-exposure, complex class actions, requiring disciplined case management, sophisticated motion practice, and trial readiness.
Earlier in his career, Jeffrey spent eight years as trial counsel defending hundreds of negligence, fraud, and injury claims in state and federal court. Over the course of his practice, he has handled all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, arbitration proceedings, and trials. This background gives Jeffrey an insider’s understanding of how institutional defendants assess risk, defend claims, and decide when—and how—to resolve cases—insight he now applies to recovery-focused strategies for plaintiffs.
Jeffrey grew up on Long Island, New York, and currently lives in San Diego, California. He earned his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 2007, where he served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of International Business and Law. He received his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University in 2004, earning a B.A. in Philosophy of Law and History, and graduated as a member of the Phi Alpha Theta honors society. He is currently an active member of PIABA, the Public Investors Advocate Bar Association. While he is not practicing law, Jeffreyrey enjoys skiing in Colorado and spending time with his children.
